I had this conversation with the eBay Green Team page on Facebook today:

Howard Oliver: Are spammy posts ROI driven or indicative of poor conversation building skills?

eBay Green Team: Hey Howard, all of our posts are things we find or read that we think are cool, and think others may like as well. What would you rather see instead?

Howard Oliver: Stories of what people are actually doing. Rather than telling people what to do that is Green – let them tell their green tales, how they felt and how they helped the world. We are on a campaign (an initiative that will be covered extensively on this blog) across a variety of Social Media to improve the levels of conversations.

eBay Green Team: Thanks, Howard. That’s a great idea, and we appreciate you pointing it out to us. We’ll try to feature more stories of what people have done or are doing to green their lives. (And if you have any, please share!)
